For many in and around the Costa Smeralda, Finger’s is simply the only fitting way to celebrate sunset on a beautiful day. And with good reason: since opening in Porto Cervo, and well before that in Milan, Finger’s has been providing delicious thrills thanks to the knowledge that something surprising is just around the corner: the arrival of a certain personality, a different atmosphere, or a new invention from culinary master Roberto Okabe.
His is the soul and energy behind Finger’s, a happy gathering of gourmet regulars, friends and newcomers who have heard about him, even from several continents away.
That timeless habit that many have of showing up at any time in need of something great to start off a blissful night on the coast, has pushed Chef Okabe to find a new space with the same ambiance and an added sunset view. And so Finger’s Beach was born, on the sands of Porto Sole, a stone’s throw from Baja Sardinia.
In the evening the tables set among the junipers overlook the most beautiful sunset on the Costa Smeralda: the cuisine is exotic but the flipside of restaurant in the Old Port of Porto Cervo. There the menu is Japanese with Brazilian inflections, here it is Brazilian with Japanese accents. It is the novelty of this summer, and you will need to book well ahead to enjoy it. You can also arrive from the water via tender – there is a jetty a few metres away – or using the pick-up service offered by Range Rover.
